Small Business Saturday is all about support

This year, for Small Business Saturday, I’m highlighting the people who help us go through life transitions without feeling alone:

support people.

To help support people be the best support people they can be, I’ve got two resources I want to highlight this weekend.

If someone you love is pregnant and you want to be an awesome support person, this resource is for you:

The Confident Birth Partner Prep Session

Looking for ways to support your loved one through pregnancy, birth, and beyond? I can help you prepare with a one-hour consultation, where you and I work together to grow your skillsets for labor, your tools for postpartum, and your confidence for the entire process.

I’ll make sure you leave with at least 10 personalized and concrete suggestions for how to support your loved one, in addition to resources for taking care of yourself.

This consultation is something I do on a very limited basis, but I am making it available to 5 folks for Small Business Saturday, for the discounted price of $40 a consult. You can invest in this consult at this link, using the coupon code SHOPSMALL22.

If you work with families and want to support them, even through tragedy, this resource is for you:

How to Support Families through Perinatal Loss

If you work with families, especially through moments of birth and grief, you may already know about my Holding Space for Pregnancy Loss training – a five-hour class on three practical modalities of support for families experiencing perinatal loss. This class also prioritizes caring for yourself in those same three modalities. (And it’s accredited for 5 CEUs through ICEA.)

This weekend I am offering scholarships for three folks who want to provide more grief-informed support to clients or patients. To enter this giveaway, comment on this post (here, or on FB or my blog) why you’re interested in taking this training. Of everyone who enters, three randomly chosen people will receive a certificate for $25 off one of my HSPL trainings (live or recorded class, whichever works best for you).

(Also, you can enter on behalf of a friend and gift this scholarship to them if you win.)

Thank you for shopping small this holiday season! Your support means the world to small businesses such as mine.

  1. I’d love to learn how to support families through perinatal loss because of upcoming responsibilities my husband and I will be taking on in a parish setting.
